Watching the stars , because they are watching me!
I used to spend more time in the darkroom developing and printing film, than I did taking the photos. All of the great photographer will have used the darkroom to edit their work, both for repair or for enhancement.
Photoshop was developed as a digital darkroom. In the darkroom, we used to do compositing, dodging, burning, color dodging, and most of the basic functions photoshop.
I see post-processing (editing) as simply a tool, like a lens filter, and as part of the creative process.
It is all a matter of choice, of course.
